Even though I have many years of experience working with audio, video and design creation programs, I know what it’s like to struggle with technology.
Because about 19 years ago, that struggle consumed my life.
I know what it’s like to wake up, only to spend the entire day stressing out and feeling the overwhelm of it all!
I had just left a really bad relationship and moved back to my hometown:
-->I was Starting over...
-->I was a single mom ...
-->All of my spiritual works (although the content was mine) were created by someone else in CD format and they kept them ALL when I left!
I knew I had to do something, and digital goods were just starting to become popular. So, I purchased a couple of editing software programs, thinking...This won't be so bad, and I re-recorded all of my works.
I know the stress of trying to remain in the flow of spiritual energy, while fumbling through the physical tasks of production. What it's like, dealing with poor internet connection, programs not cooperating, bad lighting, sound problems and things just not going as I planned.
And then to lay down at night thinking about all the mistakes I had made in my recordings. Feeling like I wasn't good enough and that I was going to make a fool of myself if it wasn't perfect.
It got so bad that I kept re-recording, starting over again and again until it was perfect and, in my belief, it never was! I was on the edge of waving that white flag of defeat and calling it quits for good.
So, I know how painful it can be.
And, I know what it’s like to be on the other side of it.
To be fully aligned with the flow of creating digitally, to have pushed through fear and overwhelm and knowing that it's not about forcing things to work, but instead it's about leaning into the things that do!
To have an understanding that it's not about putting out Hollywood quality works (although someday you will - if you stick with it!)- it's about putting your works; you SOUL message out there in front of the masses.
To have learned that no matter how much we know about the technology that we are using, it can (and sometimes will) not cooperate and that's ok!
And to have a life where I am able to witness the transformation in the lives of the soulpreneurs I've worked with. The pride and empowerment that comes when an important spiritual teaching is transformed into a digital masterpiece for them and BY THEM.
I go to bed at night thinking about how amazing it is for them to have their stories and teachings available to the world! and so grateful to be a part of that story for them. ❤
The best part is that I get to do this for others, EVERYDAY! My heart is full.
And, I want this kind of life for everyone! That’s why I do the work that I do.
